Sometimes It's Better to Let Some Folk Go
I recently had a bad experience that I feel compel to tell you
about because it could be a good learning experience for others.
Sometimes patients will come in to see the physician and they
have no intension on doing what is right (They want to be the
physician). One can always tell because they come in with a
lot of misinformation about their medical problem that they
have gotten from the street --and you just listen waiting for
the best time to correct them. Some folk will listen and their
medical issues turn around almost before their eyes. Others
will continue in their own way not taking your professional
advice that has been will documented by the profession. What
do you do with these patients? Do you let them stay in the practice
and watch them go "down the tube"? Do you negotiate
with them and hope they will come around to what makes good
medical sense. Do you ask them to leave and find another physician?
I asked him to leave and find another physician. "Closing
the gap ain't by any means easy". I am Dr. Thaddeus John
