Colon Cancer, Why you need to get checked.

A common reason that African American doesn’t get frequent health evaluation is the thought that many black people feel that “if it’s not broken then don’t fix it. While that line of reasoning maybe ok when it applies to your car it is not the he way you should think about your body. There are several medical conditions that you can develop that have no signs or symptoms. Colon cancer is one of those diseases. African Americans have the highest incidence of colon cancer than any other group of people. It has no signs or symptoms in the early stages. If detected early it can be cured. If you are 50 are above, male or female you need a colon evaluation. Talk with your physician about a colon test. Remember what you don’t know can kill you. Take care of yourself. I am Dr.Thaddeus Bell closing the gap on health care. 5/25/04
