A Broken Heart V

By now you should be aware of the risk factors of heart disease. These are a few that must get your attention. Learn these and respect them.
• A Family History of Heart Disease (Family history means one’s mother or father, but recent information shows a greater likelihood if you have a brother or sister with heart disease.)
• Uncontrolled Blood Pressure (New studies suggest that even if diagnosed, many blood pressures are not controlled among the standard of care. (BP < 140/90)
• Uncontrolled Diabetes
• A History of Smoking
• A history of Elevated Cholesterol
• Lack of Regular Exercise Program
• A Waist Line More Than 40In. for Men and 35In. Women
It is my experience that Black folk will ignore these risk factors or be in complete denial of them. Now let me make sure y’all understand what I mean when I say get some exercise. Working ain’t exercise so don’t even go there. (Smile) Take care. I am Dr. Thaddeus John Bell closing the gap in healthcare.
