Recent
studies indicate that Black males with little education lack
knowledge about the early warning signs of heart attacks. In
South Carolina, Heart Disease is the number one cause of death
in African Americans. So, Men, listen up!
The early warning signs of heart attacks are:
Chest pain
Jaw Pain
Acute onset of Shortness of breath
Pain in the left arm
Acute onset of fatigue
If you think someone is having a heart attack, call 911 first.
Promptly calling 911 and asking for help could save someone's
life. Remember, if the person has diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension,
and is overweight, a heart attack is likely. Spread the word
about the early warning signs of a heart attack.
